NEW LADDER TRUCK PLACED IN SERVICE
Date: 1/7/06 Recently, the Brookline Fire Company placed into service our new 2005 Pierce Dash 105 ft. Rear Mount Aerial. Since our announcement of delivery of the unit, the truck has been striped and lettered, equipped with a full compliment of tools, and extensive training has been conducted on the truck's operations. Ladder 3 features a TAK-4 Independent Front Suspension, Side Roll Protection and Command Zone advanced electronics. The truck is powered by a a 515 HP Detroit Diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission. Additionally, the new unit has a 2000 GPM Hale Q-Max pump, 500-gallon water tank, Husky class A foam system, 30-gallon class A foam tank, 209' ground of ladders, seating for 8, 600 ft. of 5 in. supply line, 4 - 200 ft. 2 in. pre-connects, 15kW Harrison generator, 12 - 900W Magnafire lights, breathing air to tip and turntable, and remote aerial controls.
