THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Date: 3/26/06

On behalf of the members of the Brookline Volunteer Fire Company, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the overwhelming support shown by the community for our Annual Pancake Breakfast this year. While our training focuses our attention on how we can best serve our neighbors during a crisis, it was certainly a pleasure to see so many familiar and returning faces at our event. Having your support makes it that much more rewarding to be a firefighter in this community. Thanks again,

Sincerely,
Gary W. Langhans
President of the Brookline Volunteer Fire Company Crew Club

LADDER 3 DROPS A LINE
Date: 3/22/06 At 1142 hours, Ladder 3 was dispatched along with Company 5 (Manoa) and Engine 4 (Bon-Air) to 107 Ivy Rock Lane in the Manoa section of Haverford Township for a reported garage fire. FM-1 arrived and confirmed a 30'x40', 2-car detatched garage with heavy smoke showing. E51 arrived and stretched a 1 3/4 line into service. Ladder 3 arrived and hand laid a supply line from E51 to the hydrant approximately 200' away. Ladder 3's crew then assisted in opening up and ventilation. The fire was knocked in about 15 minutes, and crews were on location performing extensive overhaul for approximately 1 hour. A special call was sent out for Spill 3 for booms to be placed around a storm sewer due to the water run off, containing gasoline & anti-freeze. Also Rescue 4 was sent to re-fill air bottles.
