BFC FIRE PREVENTION PRESENTATION
Date: 7/20/06 Ladder 3 traveled to the Grange Field to give a fire prevention demonstration to the Haverford Township Recreation program. The kids enjoyed exploring, learning and watching the apparatus and equipment as it were to be used in a real life situation.

NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT TRAINING AT BROOKLINE
Date: 7/17/06 On Monday, July 17th, the officers and crew received training and certification on the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents.

CONGRATULATIONS DEPUTY CHIEF SWEENEY
Date: 7/10/06 Deputy Chief Mark Sweeney recently graduated from the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program in Emmitsburg Maryland, attaining the title of Executive Fire Officer. This is a four year program that required him to attend a 2 week course over each of the 4 years and complete an applied research paper for each course. Mark's projects join the National Fire Academy's learning resource center database at the Academy. Of all the Officer's in 2462 fire companies in Pennsylvania (10,000 fire officers) only 30 have earned this title. Our congratulations to Mark for his successful completion of this rigorous program.

LADDER 3 RESPONDS ON THE 2ND ALARM TO BROOMALL
Date: 7/10/06 Crews from Brookline responded with Ladder 3 to assist Broomall Fire Company on a 4-alarm fire at the GoodHill Shopping Center located on West Chester Pike and New Ardmore Ave, Marple Township on July 10th at 2:00am. Crews laddered the building, opened the roof with tools and performed fire suppression using the Ladder pipe master stream and multiple handlines. Crews remained in service until 8:00am.

ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY RIDES
Date: 7/4/06 Members of Brookline Fire Company have proudly been participating in the annual 4th of July Celebration at the Grange playground for 6 decades with the Pennfield Civic Association.
